Pini has its roots in tradition as Amanda’s summers were surrounded by the famous ancient umbrella pines. Their shape against the evening sky is protective and shielding even to this day and depicted in a disarming fashion by Amanda. They are typical to Rome but found all over the country. Originally planted by the Roman Emperors to shade their marching soldiers down the Appia Way, they form a unique and powerful part of the Italian landscape. The dimension and coloring of this design has a unique texture caught by light and reflects the strength of tradition and steadfast perseverance.
